Your first week at Halle 9

Where the good desks are, who to ask, and why you should come to Friday lunch.

Starting somewhere new is half the work. Here is what the hosts tell everyone in their first week.

Find your desk

Early birds take the window seats; afternoon people like the gallery. Try both.

Learn three names

The hosts, your neighbours, and whoever makes the coffee best. The rest follows.

Come to Friday lunch

Bring a dish or five euros. It is the fastest way to know who is here.
